Suspicious Shooting of Arizona Deputy

I am no longer maintaining this post as there is no more information being released about this event.  All evidence thus far points to this as being a staged shooting.  Expect more of these hoaxed events in the near future.

Several hours ago, a Sheriff’s Deputy for Penal County, Arizona was shot by several illegal immigrants.  The developing story already seems rather odd and there’s no escaping the strange timeliness of the event. The state recently passed its controversial Immigration Law S.B.1070 and many protests are scheduled to take place tomorrow (May Day.)  This shooting dramatically affirms the necessity of the new legislation and will no doubt be used with great effect this weekend to deflate the righteousness of the protesters.  While it is too early to determine exactly what this is all about, this much is true: when an event coincidentally benefits The Establishment, there is always a good chance it wasn’t a coincidence.  So far, here are the supposed facts.

In the spring of 2002, the Israeli military had the Palestinian town of Ramallah under siege.  The IDF had captured three of the four Palestinian television stations.  While in control of these media outlets, the Israeli military implemented a very disturbing plan: they began broadcasting pornographic movies to the Palestinian households.  For those who are familiar with the tactics frequently used by Israel against the Palestinian people, such a thing will come as no surprise.  And they have done far worse.  Yet, there’s something especially twisted about this event.

Last week, a series of supposed suicide bombers attacked targets in Iraq, killing nearly 150 people.  Establishment news sources pointed out that these actions broke a long period of calm and we may be seeing a renewed effort by the “Sunni Insurgency.” But these attacks are not the product of domestic terrorists.  The timing of the assaults clealry indicates that the bombers are not working for the betterment of the Iraqi people or to somehow force the Americans out of their country.  These attacks are staged and are intended to maintain discord and to send a message to our political opponents in the region.

Yesterday, the Democrats announced their desire to nationalize the nation’s oil refineries so that government can better oversee what’s going on in the industry. This is something sure to create a lot of discussion, but what are we to make of it?

Fake Suicide Bombers: The Dimona Incident

On the 4th of February, a bomb exploded in downtown Dimona, Israel, killing one person and injuring 11 others. Frequent readers of this blog know that I am highly skeptical of these so-called “suicide attacks,” and this event is no different from the rest. All of the large, high profile suicide bombings have been shown to be state-sponsored attacks made to look like “suicide bombings.” These would include 9/11, Madrid, London, Amman, etc. These smaller bombings receive an immediate cover story which is repeated endlessly, word-for-word, but followed by very little in-depth investigation. Nevertheless, when the few meager facts are assembled, they simply make no sense. In every instance, the political ramifications of the attack serve to benefit the Ruling Elite rather than opposition forces fighting in these countries.

Toward An Opposition Understanding: Elite Control

I prefer the terms, “Establishment” and “Opposition” to the old, Marxist-flavored, “Bourgeoisie” and “Proletariat.” It’s not necessary to read Marx to know that we live under Elite Rule and many of the Marxist categories pertaining to these terms are of little relevance these days. “Establishment” refers not only to The Elite and their system of mass control, but also the loose ideology which accompanies The Establishment. This ideology is much more complicated and involved than Marx can explain, and by limiting ourselves to discussions of Capitalism, much of the character of the modern Establishment is lost. This Establishment ideology is far-reaching and has a profound connection with everyone in our society. Any effective understanding adopted by Opposition elements must first clearly disassociate itself from any Establishment influence.

It’s not that The Establishment simply dictates to a compliant society, but The Establishment fashions certain tools and models with which the people can interpret their world. In this way, whatever understanding is adopted by the citizens will always work to the benefit of The Establishment. This mechanism is apparent in any serious ideological attempt at creating an Opposition consensus. The Establishment succeeds in hiding behind these apparent contradictions, idealistic platitudes, and political sophistries, and so eludes serious critical analysis while at the same time splitting Opposition elements which are unable to agree on any popular understanding. In other words, why dictate policy if you can control the debate which determines policy?
